WASH In Schools Enabling Environment (EE) Matrix

At its core, the EE Matrix is built on the principle of country ownership. It brings together national stakeholders, typically through WASH in Schools Technical Working Groups, to jointly assess progress and set priorities for the coming year. It enables actors at the national level to review and track progress annually. To facilitate this, technical working groups are provided with a set of guiding questions. These questions allow countries to assess their WASH in Schools system as a whole, looking at the current status, identifying gaps, and comparing progress over time.
